Premier Party Announced for Award-Winning Artist's Latest Video - "Nocturne"
A premier party will take place on Saturday, September 15th in Chicago to celebrate the release of her latest video "Nocturne". Ms. McGovern is an accomplished flutist, who has played numerous venues, including Carnegie Hall. The evening will include an elegant mix of food, music, and drinks with a private concert beginning at 7:00 pm. The intimate venue will include a gathering of 60 to 70 individuals, who will enjoy the musical talents of Ms. McGovern and her colleagues. The accompanying musicians will include Yana Reznik - piano, Jack Cimo - guitar, Devin Apps - Harp, and Philip Armstrong - Vocals. Guests will be treated to an eclectic mix of musical arrangements from the 1600's through the 21st Century.
There is much anticipation regarding the release of "Nocturne" following Ms. McGovern's award-winning short film "Moonlight" and other well received music videos. "Moonlight" is a moving video set to the arrangement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (Mvt. #1) that Ms. McGovern arranged with her mentor and colleague, Melody Lord. The video is a beautiful tribute to Ms. Lord. Michele's talents can be seen in her videos, where she embraces the classical crossover trend to include a mix of jazz, Latin, and rock within her arrangements. Her YouTube channel is gaining popularity and includes a wonderful video montage of her work to date, including some sneak peaks at her latest venture. You may view the montage by visiting her YouTube channel or her website. "Nocturne" will be debuted to guests during the evening. Ms. McGovern will be at the Flute Convention in Washington DC on Thursday, August 13th. She will be a featured artist representing Nagahara Flutes.
