Symphony Center
The Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight) performed by Michele McGovern was arranged by Michele McGovern and Melody Lord during the 12 years that they worked together prior to Ms. Lord's untimely death. In addition to Moonlight Sonata, the duo completed 6 arrangements for flute and piano for the famous opera "Carmen." The ladies work was rewarded with an unbelievable performance at New York City's Carnegie Hall in the Weil recital hall. During the concert the two artists performed all 6 of their arrangements of Carmen.
The Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight) performed by Michele McGovern is in response to her highly successful YouTube video, which was created as homage to her late friend and associate. Michele wrote, directed, and performed in the video entitled Moonlight, which she dedicated to Ms. Lord’s memory. The video received numerous awards and accolades, which have led to Michele performing at the Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight.)
After the overwhelming success of Moonlight, Ms. McGovern eased herself into the crossover classical genre with her original compositions, such as Little Flirt, Timelessness, Nocturne, Winter's Beauty, and the latest La Notte. Even though Ms. McGovern has moved into more of a classical crossover genre, she enjoys the opportunity to relive her journey at the Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight).
Today we realize that Michele's talents go far beyond Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight). Her release of Pavane on YouTube and her work on Lady Vadula are just a fit hits at the more modern direction that Ms. McGovern is taking with her music. The crossover classical and New Age styles are a perfect fit for her talents as a composer. Unlike the more classic Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight) performed by Michele McGovern, La Notte will be an exciting "anime" styled video with some amazing dancers to compliment her music. Likewise, her foray into musical performances has been very successful with the recent "sneak peek" at Lady Vadula. In this live performance, you have a completely different atmosphere from that encountered at the Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight) performed by Michele McGovern.
Ms. McGovern has created a story that is told through acting, music, and dance about Lady Vadula. This ethereal story is a completely different direction from her jazz infused piece, Little Flirt. It just shows how talented Michele McGovern is. Although Michele is well-known for her extraordinary performances with world-renowned orchestras, such as Mozart's D Major Concerto, Mozart's Andante, Vivaldi's Il Gardellino Concerto, Vivaldi's La Notte Concerto, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 for two flutes and violin, Lukas Foss' "For Toru," and a recording with Saint Petersburg Camerata in St. Petersburg, Russia, she has proven that she has the talent required to do whatever she wants.
The Symphony Center (Premier of Moonlight) performed by Michele McGovern is an amazing testament to her abilities; however, we are all looking forward to her new adventures. In fact, her latest forays include live performances in Boston on a local television program, the release of La Notte, and the much anticipated Lady Vadula.
